I Love NY - Day 22

The last day of a vacation is always a little depressing. You’ve had a great time and now you know that you are going back home to everyday life, whatever that may be. That is how I feel today. It has been a great month in New York and today I want to do exactly what I would have done if this had been an actual trip to New York: Stress around in all the stores to buy as much as my suitcases allow (and then some and an extra suitcase – to hell with airline regulations).

My frenzy in the stores (read: my computer files) has resulted in what you see below. What should have been a small Add-on ended up as a Mega Kit, so mega that I had to separate it into 5 parts for easy download. Now you can go crazy on your last day in New York…

The Add-on Mega Kit contains:

Part 1 – Empire State Alpha A-Å upper
Part 2 – 5 flair buttons, 7 post cards and a skyline cutting maks/template
Part 3 – 8 papers
Part 4 – 8 papers
Part 5 – 2 Quick pages

SORRY!
These freebies are no longer available.
Check my store - they might be there.

By the way – if you haven’t yet seen yesterday’s “side track”, please go now. It’s very important…

I hope you have enjoyed this trip as much as I have and want to travel with me again. I’m not yet sure where we will be going next, but I have a feeling that spring will arrive on this blog in a day or two... And when spring arrives, anything could happen!

Thank you for travelling with Nothing but Freebies Airlines. See you again on April 1 (no fools, I promise).

Famous Georg

I know I said I wouldn’t be posting today, but all month I have been pestered by a little guy who wants to be famous…

This may need an explanation. I don’t have any children, but I do have a teddy bear. His name is Georg (George in English) and he goes wherever I go. Last year he went with me to New York – and he LOVED it. So as I have made all the NY stuff this month he figured that he could get his picture online and thereby be a little closer to the world wide fame he has always been yearning for. After a full month of “please, please, please”, “oh, pretty please” and “I reeeeaaaly want to so much”, I have finally succumbed to the pressure.

Here is Georg in New York. If you can use the picture in any way and want to help make Georg famous, please feel free to download the picture here.

I hope you forgive me (and Georg) for this little side track. I’ll be back on track tomorrow.

I Love NY - Day 21

The month of March is almost over and so is my New York Tribute. But just almost. I still have one more planned freebie for you for today – a paper pack with 6 sepia papers.

SORRY!
These freebies are no longer available.
Check my store - they might be there.

I will not be posting tomorrow, but I will use the day clearing out the archives for any leftovers in the New York department and, hopefully, return on Tuesday with some kind of Add-on for this month’s theme.

Hope to see you then.

I Love NY - Day 20

Today you get a 2-for-1. A little package containing 7 flair buttons with New York theme and 4 word arts inspired by some of the many songs written about New York. The inspirational songs are: Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind", "New York State of Mind" with Billy Joel or others, and of course "New York, New York" with Frank Sinatra or Liza Minelli, your choice.

SORRY!
These freebies are no longer available.
Check my store - they might be there.

See you tomorrow for some papers?

I Love NY - Day 19

Now it is almost weekend – again… Time sure flies! On Wednesday I promised you one of my own personal favourites today. Here it is.

A very important part of New York City is the Subway. However old, it still takes you from one exiting place to another without traffic jam delays and often with great entertainment in form of musicians, singers or poets. My graphic eye just loves the subway signs. They are simple, catchy and easy to understand – almost pretty. And a very welcome sight when your legs hurt after a long day of walking the streets of New York. I could not make this tribute to New York without somehow including the subway. I have done so in form of an alpha based on the subway signs. You get letters, numbers and symbols + a little “make your own signs”-bonus. Have a nice ride on the subway…

I Love NY - Day 18

Hello again.

After having taken a day off from this blog, I have had more time than usual to make today’s freebie – so it better be good! Well, I think it is…

Here is part 2 of the Burned Paper Pack with 10 new papers with that aged, brown look I like so much. I hope you’ll like it too. (If you missed part 1, you can still get it here.)

SORRY!
These freebies are no longer available.
Check my store - they might be there.

If you like this style, you should check out the CPH Paper Pack I posted on opening day.

Tomorrow is another “day off”, but on Friday I’ll be back with one of my personal favourites of this month. It’s an Alpha – that is all I will tell you.

See you Friday?

I Love NY - Day 17

The elements I posted 10 days ago were a big success. I’m not sure whether it was simply because it was elements or if it was because I poked that secret place in most of us (the little binger)? Well I guess I might get the answer soon, because today I’m posting a new batch of elements that has absolutely nothing to do with food. Instead I’m taking you Shopping & Sightseeing in New York City and hope you will like these almost as much as the earlier “carb overload”.

SORRY!
These freebies are no longer available.
Check my store - they might be there.

I’m taking tomorrow off but will be back on Wednesday with a paper pack for you. See you then?

Now enjoy you Sunday. Even this far north spring is beginning to show its face. So get out, have fun, take pictures and go back home to scrap them. I hope to be back tomorrow with a new batch of elements. No food this time - just shopping and sightseeing!

See you tomorrow?

I Love NY - Day 15

This weekend I give you two alphas - or rather one alpha in two colours. It is an alpha made from an old map of South Manhattan. Today you get the white/black version, and tomorrow it will be black/white. I apologize for the lack of numbers and symbols – I just did not have the time – but you get both upper and lower cases.

SORRY!
These freebies are no longer available.
Check my store - they might be there.

See you tomorrow for the black version?

I Love NY - Day 14

Do you know the problem: You are travelling and send home postcards to friends and family, but you get home before the postcards do?

For the last couple of years I have stopped sending home paper postcards when I’m travelling. Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge fan of “old-fashioned” paper mail, but when it comes to travel-writing I want to share all I can with those staying back home. I want them to see what I see in text, pictures and graphic – in short: Scrapbooking – without having to wait a week or two for a postcard to reach them. So every night of my vacation I make a scrap of the day and publish it online (Google Web Album) and email friends and family an invitation to go look. It has been a HUGE success for both them and me – they get a real time taste of my vacation, and I have a finished scrapbook before I even get home… You should try it.

If your destination is New York your can use today’s Quick Page called “Writing Home”. As usual you get both transparent png and psd with photo masks. It is 12x12 but to limit the size it is only 200 ppi.

SORRY!
These freebies are no longer available.
Check my store - they might be there.

Weekend is upon us, but I will not rest. I will be posting an alpha both Saturday and Sunday so make sure to stop by…

I Love NY - Day 13

Today I give away 4 photo frames made from some of the papers also up for grabs this month (some already available here and some will come later). All four frames have glass front and you get them as transparent png as well as psd with photo mask. You can download the frames one by one or – if you have the bandwidth for it – all four in one zip (ca. 54 MB).

SORRY!
These freebies are no longer available.
Check my store - they might be there.

Hope you enjoy them and come back tomorrow for more goodies…

I Love NY - Day 12

Paper time again!

Today I give you two paper packs with the same papers in negative and positive. But I don’t like the words negative and positive so I decided to call it dark and light instead. They are called Psyched Papers because I made them with effects like Psychedelic Clouds, Neon Edges and Solarize which all gives them that special look of … hmm… well, psyched. I hope you like them.

SORRY!
These freebies are no longer available.
Check my store - they might be there.

As all I do here is about giving without receiving, I have to put my energy and creativity somewhere else from time to time (a girl’s got bills to pay). So tomorrow I will dedicate my talent to paid work, but I will be back here on Thursday.

See you then?
